I want to give you an update that ASEA is planning an exciting new initiative: a Virtual Conference.
As you might be aware, ASPPA hosts all-day Virtual Conferences in December and May. Each one provides 7.5 hours of CE credit. ASEA is planning on doing a mini-version of our own.
Right now, we are planning to host a Virtual Conference in early to mid-June (about a month after the ASPPA Virtual Conference) that will provide 3 hours of core or noncore JBEA credit. The date will be set after speakers’ availability is confirmed. This will be a live televised event in which all the speakers are together on the same panel. It should provide a much higher level of engagement between the speakers on the panel and the audience than a webcast.
We anticipate that there will be several experienced and well-known speakers—familiar names to all of you. More details will follow soon.
By the time of the Virtual Conference, we are hoping for additional guidance from IRS, Treasury and DOL on SECURE Act issues. Regardless of how much guidance is released, we expect to cover several SECURE Act topics.
