Employees come and go, but are they eligible to enter the plan upon their rehire date? Monitoring breaks in service and determining entry dates upon rehire can create administration issues. This webcast will focus on the legal requirements as well as optional plan design provisions that impact the handling of rehired employees. These include the eligibility rules, break-in-service rules, the one-year hold rule and forfeiture/buyback rights.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Robert Richter is a vice president with SunGard Relius in Jacksonville, Florida. He manages the consulting department and is instrumental in authoring and supporting SunGard Corbel's retirement plan documents. Robert is a frequent lecturer and author on matters involving qualified retirement plans and cafeteria plans. He has held numerous positions within ASPPA (President from October 2011 to October 2012) and is currently serving as Treasurer of the American Retirement Association. Robert is a member of numerous other organizations, including the Florida Bar.
