Is Your Practice 'Safe' From SECURE?

Education and Career Development

Just ahead of the holidays, President Trump signed into law the SECURE Act, arguably the most comprehensive retirement plan bill since the Pension Protection Act (PPA) 2006, and one that has many provisions that are effective immediately.

Find out what you need to know from two of the retirement industry’s leading experts – Robert Richter and Robert Kaplan – in an interactive webcast on Thursday, Jan. 16 that will review the major provisions (other than MEPs and PEPs), and how they will impact the design and administration of retirement plans, including a focus on the effective dates for provisions and timing of plan amendments.

Among the topics they’ll cover are the changes to the rules for safe harbor plan contributions, adoption dates for new plans and the revised required minimum distribution date.

Then tune in on Tuesday, Jan. 21, when Brian Graff will join Robert Kaplan, and Robert Richter in the webcast “The SECURE Act – The Next Steps for MEPs and PEPs,” which will examine the provisions included in the newly enacted law that affect these plans, as well as the newly created Pooled Plan Provider (PPP) rules.

(How) will they affect your client base and business? This is a unique opportunity to find out while the ink on the new law is still drying.
