Description:  The session will explore different ways a Pooled Plan Provider (PPP) can structure a Pooled Employer Plan (PEP). It will include who can be a Pooled Plan Provider, what the different roles in a PEP and how they differ from single employer plans. Finally, the session will discuss the latest on the DOL and IRS guidance for PEPs.

About the Speaker:

 

Jake Linney, CPC, CPFA is the Director, Key Accounts at the American Retirement Association. In his role, he advocates for the American Retirement Association’s education products. In addition, Jake has been involved in the development of ASPPA’s Retirement Plan Fundamentals and Qualified 401(k) Administrator modules. He is a frequent trainer, writer and speaker to the retirement plan community. Jake’s expertise includes multiple employer plans (MEPs), pooled employer plans (PEPs), 3(16) fiduciary administration, complicated employer issues and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining the American Retirement Association, he served as a volunteer on NAPA’s Government Affairs Committee and ASPPA’s Retirement Plan Academy.
