Actuaries are required to follow Standards of Practice or disclose why they have not done so. ASOPs 4, 27 and 35 affect the work we pension actuaries do and these standards have recently been updated with new requirements for disclosure. This webcast will review these updated ASOPs in detail and will outline these new requirements.

The IRS has issued opinion and advisory letters for pre-approved defined contribution plans. The restatement cycle for these plans will run through April 30, 2016. This webcast will address common provisions found in prototype and volume submitter plan documents, the options that may be available for election with respect to such provisions, the advantages and disadvantages of various alternatives, and the impact that interim amendments adopted since the last restatement may have on the choices you make.
