Description: This webcast will begin with a refresher on the hardship changes under the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018, including the expansion of the money now available for addressing hardships, as well as the new permissible withdrawal “event” for FEMA-declared disasters. The session also will cover the temporary withdrawal relief under the CARES Act for participants affected by COVID-19; and related DOL and IRS guidance; relief from certain documentation requirements; and the retroactive amendment requirements for hardship withdrawals. An interactive question and answer session will follow the presentation to assist in the learning process.

How does it work and what are the pitfalls? “Backdoor” Roth contributions have also been touted in the popular press but don’t always make sense.
