Industry Expert Hochman to Retire

Rich Hochman, longtime retirement industry expert and former ASPPA President, is retiring, Actuarial Systems Corporation has announced. 

Hochman served as President of ASPPA in 2017. He was the 2012 recipient of ASPPA’s Educator of the Year Award and the 2019 recipient of ASPPA’s highest honor, the Harry T. Eidson Founders Award, acknowledging his more than three decades of enhancing the retirement system.

During the course of his career, Rich has headed document departments, worked with the private sector and government agencies to expand private retirement coverage, and served as an instructor of continuing education classes. 

Hochman also served on the IRS Taskforce which created the five-year individually designed plan and six-year pre-approved plan cycle systems for the restatement and approval of qualified retirement plans. And he assisted in expanding the IRS pre-approved retirement plan program. 

Hochman has most recently served as the Director of Retirement Plan Consulting Services at Actuarial Systems Corporation.
