ASPPA Members

The webcast is designed to offer registrants 2 ASPPA CE credits.

Enrolled Actuaries

The webcast is designed to offer registrants 2 JBEA Non-Core CE credits for Enrolled Actuaries. The final decision as to the number and type of JBEA credits rests solely with the Joint Board for the Enrollment of Actuaries.

Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA)

The webcast is designed to offer registrants 2 ERPA CE credits. The final decision as to the number of ERPA credits rests solely with the Internal Revenue Service.

Continuing Education Changes for RECORDED Webcast Attendees

Once registered, attendees will receive a confirmation letter directing them to the “Access Recorded Webcasts” page with a link to the WebEx OnDemand Center. Each registered viewer will be tracked when they log in with their name and email address. The webcast link will expire once the attendee has satisfied the CE requirement. CE credits will be applied to their record on a periodic basis and a certificate of attendance will be available on each attendee's My ASPPA page.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Judy A. Miller, MSPA

Judy is ACOPA Executive Director and Director of Retirement Policy for ASPPA. She joined ASPPA after serving as Senior Benefits Advisor on the staff of the Senate Finance Committee (May 2003 through November 2007). Before joining the Finance Committee staff, Judy provided consulting and actuarial services to employer sponsored retirement programs for nearly 30 years. She was a shareholder in Anderson ZurMuehlen & Co., providing consulting services through its affiliate, Employee Benefit Resources, LLP (EBR) in Helena, Montana. Prior to joining EBR, she was vice president of Hendrickson, Miller & Associates, Inc. for 15 years. Judy began her actuarial career in New York, working for what was then George B. Buck Consulting Actuaries. Judy is an MSPA, a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and an Enrolled Actuary. She received her BS in Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.

Carolyn Zimmerman

Carol has been working in Employee Plans and Ruling Agreements with the Internal Revenue Service for almost 8 years, following 25 years of pension consulting with national firms.  In her current position, she is involved in a number of activities including participating in a number of guidance projects and assisting practitioners and IRS personnel with technical questions.

Carol currently serves on the Joint Board for the Enrollment of Actuaries.  She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary, and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.  She has also been active in the actuarial profession, serving on the Academy of Actuaries’ Pension Committee and speaking frequently at actuarial meetings.
