I'm taking care of that; why are you getting involved?  Successfully managing a qualified retirement plan takes a wide range of expertise.  Although both investment professionals and TPAs bring essential knowledge and experience to the table, there can be problems if the parties cannot effectively work together.  In order to build a solid referral relationship, all involved must be able to trust each other to provide a consistent level of service.  In this session, Debra and Adam will discuss how to forge a collaborative relationship that leads to a better client experience and probably a few referrals along the way.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Debra Moran, QPA, QKA

Debra Moran is the Director of Acropolis Retirement Plan Solutions, a division of Acropolis Investment Management.  She is responsible for overseeing the line of business and managing client satisfaction. Prior to working for Acropolis, Debra worked in the retirement plan and financial services industries at General American Life Insurance, GenAmerica Financial and MetLife.  As a retirement plan professional, she served as Account Executive, Participant Contact Center Manager, Senior Qualified Retirement Plan Design Consultant and the Chief of Staff for the Senior Vice President of MetLife Retirement Plans. Debra graduated from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri with an M.B.A.  In addition, she has attained the QPA and QKA designations from ASPPA. She has successfully completed the NASD Series 6, 63 and 65 securities license exams.

Adam C. Pozek, ERPA, QPA, QPFC

Adam Pozek is a partner at DWC ERISA Consultants, LLC, a national TPA/consulting firm.  He works with plan sponsors, advisors and other professionals on a wide range of qualified plan matters from plan design and volunary corrections to fidcuiary governance and mergers and acquisitions. Adam is a frequent speaker and writer, co-editor in chief of The Journal of Pension Benefits and just concluded a 3-year term on the IRS Advisory Committee on Tax Exempt and Government Entities.  He serves on the Executive Committee of ASPPA's Board of Directors as well as the ASPPA Government Affairs Committee.
