Advanced Issues with Participant Loans, Hardship Withdrawals, & QDROs

Speaker: Robert M. Kaplan, CFP, CPC, QPA, APA, ING Retirement Services, Thornwood, NY

“It’s my money and I want it now” is a common refrain from participants during turbulent economic times. Plan Administrators are faced with a constant barrage of loan requests, hardship withdrawal requests, and QDROs. Some of these requests might be creative and not meet the standards of the law and regulations. This webcast will review some of the more advanced situations and the rules associated with them. Also discussed will be suggested corrective actions when things are not run properly.
