I am incredibly excited to join the American Retirement Association (ARA), specifically the American Society of Enrolled Actuaries (ASEA), as Chief Content Officer. The association and society are well-known for their professionalism, insight, and execution.
Filling the void left by former Chief Content Officer Nevin Adam's (semi) departure will take some doing, but it’s a challenge I'm honored to accept. I have much to learn and look forward to getting to know you and the organization better in the coming months.
After home office positions with ING (pre-Voya), OppenheimerFunds, and Jackson National Life, I turned to financial journalism in reporter and eventually editor-in-chief roles. It began with Boomer Market Advisor, Bank Advisor, Investment Advisor, InvestmentNews, and, most recently, 401(k) Specialist.
401(k) Specialist has a digital distribution focus, with its website, e-newsletter, social media products and services, and a quarterly print and digital magazine. Our talented team grew email and subscriber lists to over 60,000 weekly financial professional recipients.
Raised in Newport, R.I., I attended the University of Vermont. I then moved to Denver, Colo., where I lived for the past 25 years before arriving in Arlington, Va., with the ARA.
I have two children in college and love running, biking, skiing, and traveling.
While ASEA is a group of highly educated individuals with specialized training and skill sets, I always look for great collaboration and content ideas. If I can help with intersocietal, professionalism, or membership issues and committees in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I am grateful for the opportunity and look forward to working with each of you.
