Description:  During this introductory session, we’ll cover the basics of FAS/ASC pension accounting in the small DB plan arena. We’ll discuss when, where, why and how it applies, including the main components of expense and disclosure. We’ll  also cover the actuary’s role  in assumption setting and analyze basic calculations that go into annual and special event accounting.
