EPCRS, Ethics for Actuaries, Regulatory Update

Please join the ABC of Central Texas and our Speakers Lynn M. Young & Kelsey N.H. Mayo,  for a  full day event about the following:
 
Family Feud – EPCRS version  
The IRS released Revenue Procedure 2021-30 updated the Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System.  Join us for an informative session that will test contestants on their knowledge of important changes in the program.
 
Ethics – How did I get myself into this situation?
This session will explore ethical dilemmas with audience participation on how you would handle the situation.  Participants will gain insight into an ethical approach to decision making and a better understanding of our Code of Conduct and Circular 230.
 
Regulatory Update  
What is new since the Secure Act?  This session will provide an overview of the new legislation and recent IRS/Treasury guidance.
 
Hot Topics/ Q & A 
We just finished the first year of retroactive adoption of plans.  We will discuss challenges this provision of the SECURE Act brought about as well as other hot topics.  Bring your questions to this session as the discussion will go where the audience takes it.

Speakers:  LYNN M. Young, EA, MSEA & Kelsey N.H. Mayo JD, with Pinnacle Plan Design & Poyner Spruill

Lynn M. Young is a partner of the firm and is an enrolled actuary with over 31 years of experience in the consulting and administration of qualified defined benefit, cash balance, and defined contribution plans. As an enrolled actuary, Lynn specializes in actuarial consulting and third-party administration of defined benefit retirement plans. She is the Past-President of the American Society of Enrolled Actuaries (ASEA, formerly ACOPA) and along with her fellow actuaries at Pinnacle, authored the 2016-present Editions of the Defined Benefit Answer Book, published by Wolters Kluwer.

Kelsey’s practice is focused in the areas of Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation. She works with business owners and HR executives to understand and manage employee benefits and executive compensation arrangements.  Kelsey routinely represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor, and Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation and has extensive experience in virtually all aspects of employee benefit plans and executive compensation arrangements.
