Presenter; JJ McKinney with EGPS;

JJ has made a vocation of helping business owners and executives meet their fiduciary obligations since 1998. Holding a BA in English and Spanish from St. Edward’s University, he worked as a middle school Spanish teacher before joining the retirement plan industry. JJ’s professional background includes operations development and implementation, government compliance and consulting, new client acquisition, quality assurance, and issue resolution. He has taught classes on various retirement plan-related topics and business management best practices. He has written articles for the ASPPA ASAPPlan Consultant magazine, and the Journal of Pension Benefits. In his current role as Director of Sales for EGPS, he joins leadership to support our dynamic sales team by cultivating strategic partnerships with financial advisors and recordkeepers to bring delightful retirement savings outcomes to clients throughout the country. His wealth of industry experience and knowledge, paired with his passion for delivering superior customer experiences, make him a great fit for this position.

Presenter; John Feldt with EGPS;

John works as a Compliance Manager at Economic Group Pension Services, Inc. and has over 30 years of experience working with TPAs and consulting firms to provide plan design and compliance services for all types of retirement plans. John’s style is to make the complex understandable and to provide a practical common-sense approach for plan sponsors. As an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA), John also represents plan sponsors before the IRS. John has given presentations at the 401(k) Summit in Las Vegas, the ASPPA ABC in Minneapolis, and the ERISA Forum in Des Moines. 


As a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA), John is also a Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) and Qualified Plan Administrator (QPA). In addition, John has served as a member of the Plan Consultant Committee for ASPPA’s Plan Consultant magazine since 2012. He has a B.S. in Mathematics from Iowa State University.
