CPFA Boot Camp and Two Day Seminar

Monday, May 23 - Tuesday, May 24
Bootcamp Time May 23 from 2:15-6:15 p.m. May 24 from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Testing Window May 24 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

One of the exciting new options at this meeting is the opportunity for advisors to earn NAPA's CPFA (Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor) designation* onsite in Charlotte. Interested advisors can take part in a two-day Boot Camp on May 23rd and 24th, facilitated by Sarah Simoneaux of Simoneaux and Stroud Condulting Services, and then take the proctored examination on Tuesday May, 24th. Those who succesfully pass the examination will earn their CPFA credential.

The Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) credential – developed by some of the nation’s leading advisors and retirement plan experts – demonstrates your knowledge, expertise and commitment to working with retirement plans. Plan advisors who earn their CPFA demonstrate the expertise required to act as a plan fiduciary or help plan fiduciaries manage their roles and responsibilities.

NOTE: If you currently hold the QPFC designation, you are eligible to be grandfathered in to the new CFPA credential and do not need to participate in this program.

The CPFA credential is earned by successfully passing a 75 multiple-choice question proctored examination. Participants will be required to complete the CPFA Online Study modules prior to attending the conference. The CPFA Online Study modules include all content that will be included in the examination in the following four areas:

  • ERISA Fiduciary Roles and Responsibilities
  • ERISA Fiduciary Oversight
  • ERISA Plan Investment Management
  • ERISA Plan Management
