The Yin & Yang of Remote Employees

Finding good employees is challenging! Many times the right candidate does not live in your area and does not want to relocate.

At the ASPPA Women Business Leaders Forum (WBLF) being held June 5-8, 2017 at the lovely Brown Palace Hotel in Denver, CO, we will have a panel of experts participating in General Session 5: The Yin & Yang of Remote Employees. We will discuss technology issues, what the indicators of a successful remote worker are, integration of remote workers with the “home office” team and other relevant issues.

The panelists will include the following:

  • Norm Levinrad, FSPA, CPC, and President of Summit Benefit & Actuarial Services, Inc., who manages both a home office and many remote workers.

  • Adam Pozek, QPA, QKA, CPFA, Partner in DWC ERISA Consultants, Inc. and current ASPPA President-elect, who manages a company made up entirely of remote workers.

  • Sheri Alsguth, MSPA, CPC, QPFC, Consulting Actuary with Pinnacle Plan Design, LLC. She is a remote worker herself, and will be on hand to discuss the topic from the point of view of the employee.

  • Amanda Iverson, APM, and COO of Pinnacle Plan Design, LLC, who manages offices in two cities as well as remote workers.
