Online Exam or Conference Registration Procedures

First Time Users

If this is the first time you have taken an exam with ASPPA or have never attended an ASPPA event, then you will need to create and account in order to register for our online exams. In order to create an account, please follow the steps below.

  • First, proceed to the Create Account Web page
  • Review the four questions to determine whether or not you need to create a new account. If you still need to create an account, click on 'please proceed'.
  • The next screen will allow you to enter you personal information and will ask you to create a login and password for you to use in the online registration process. Click 'submit'.
  • You will have the chance to confirm your information. If changes are necessary, click 'edit'. If not, click 'submit'.
  • If your information closely matches a record already in the database, you will be given a message indicating that you should contact the membership department - you can do so online or by phone (703.516.9300).
  • Once your record is successfully submitted, you are ready to register. Please keep your login and password - they are encrypted and can not be viewed at the National Office. If you forget your login or password, you can either use the 'email my password' utility from the log-in page, or call the National Office and have them reset.

Existing Members and Registrants

Your ASPPA ID number is your login and password to log in and register for an exam/event. If you have forgotten this number or do not know it, proceed below.

If you HAVE taken an ASPPA exam or attended an ASPPA event in the past, AND you have an e-mail address on file with ASPPA, you can have your ASPPA ID number e-mailed to you if you have forgotten it. Simply click the LOGIN button on ASPPA’s main Web page. At the next screen, click on “Email My Password” highlighted in blue. Your ASPPA ID number will be e-mailed to you.

Note: If you have changed your password to something other than your ASPPA ID number, your password will be different than your ASPPA ID number on file with ASPPA. If you have forgotten this information or do not have an e-mail address on file with ASPPA, please contact our office at 703.516.9300 for assistance.

Online Registration Procedures

Once you have successfully logged in to the Web site, please follow the instructions below.

  • To register for an exam or event, click on the word “Registration” (located next to the word “Help” at the top of the Web page).
  • The next screen lists current possible exams/events. Click the appropriate link.
  • Each exam/event offered in that given category appears on the next screen. Click on the exam/event that you wish to register for.
  • The next screen is titled “Event Registration”. Read the text for the given exam/event, and then scroll to the bottom of the Web page and click the button marked “check-out”.
  • The next screen prompts you to put in your credit card information to purchase the exam/event.
  • Once you complete the purchase, select “Registration” at the top of the Web page to refresh your browser. Scroll to the bottom of the Web page and select the appropriate link under “Online Testing” if you wish to begin an online exam/event.

Taking an Exam

After completing your purchase and returning to the link marked “Registration”, you will notice, on the left hand side of the Web page marked “ASPPA Event Registration”, a blue link titled “Take Test”. If you have successfully purchased an exam, selecting that link will activate a listing of the exams you have purchased. Simply click on the exam and click “Start Test”. There is no time limit to ASPPA’s online exams. If you must log out before you have completed an exam, the Web site will save the answers you have completed thus far. The only deadline you should keep in mind is the exam deadline of December 31.
