Overview


The Los Angeles Benefits Conference provides an opportunity to discuss employee benefit issues with colleagues and local, regional and national government representatives from the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor. The program focuses on exchanging information and educating attendees about current regulatory, legislative, administrative and actuarial topics.
Conference Program
Top officials from both the IRS and DOL — including Joseph H. Grant, Deputy Division Commissioner, TE/GE, and Phyllis C. Borzi, Assistant Secretary of Labor for the Employee Benefits Security Administration — will give you insights into current and future regulatory initiatives. Additionally, ASPPA Executive Director/CEO, Brian H. Graff, Esq., APM, will present the "Washington Update" session with perspectives on recent proposals in Congress to eliminate cross-tested plans. Post-Conference Conversations with the IRS and DOL – January 22, 2010
Please note the "Conversations with the IRS and DOL" sessions (in a roundtable format) have been moved to the last day of the Conference this year so that you can ask top officials any of your questions not answered during the main event. The move gives you close, informal contact with high-ranking government officials and ensures your concerns are communicated directly to those running the nation's private retirement system. Additional registration fees apply.
