Harry T. Eidson Founders AwardSubmit Your Harry T. Eidson Founders Award Nominations Today! The deadline to submit nominations for the 2008 Harry T. Eidson Founders Awards is May 1, 2008. We encourage you to take the time and nominate a worthy candidate for either or these two prestigious award categories. Anyone who knows of eligible candidates may submit nominations for these awards. Nominations may be submitted through the ASPPA web site using the link above, or if preferred, a hard copy nomination form may be downloaded and faxed or mailed to ASPPA. The following criteria are used to determine the nominees for both award categories:
Please note that award recipients need not be ASPPA members. ASPPA Mission Statement The purpose of ASPPA is to educate pension actuaries, consultants, administrators and other benefits professionals, and to preserve and enhance the private pension system as part of the development of a cohesive and coherent national retirement income policy. All nominations are reviewed by a special Eidson Award Subcommittee. The subcommittee then provides award candidate recommendations to the ASPPA Board of Directors. The Board makes the final award determinations. Eidson Awards are presented at the ASPPA Annual Conference, with recipients receiving a personalized award memento. In addition, recipients names are engraved on a permanent plaque displayed in the ASPPA National Office . Previous honorees: Janice M. Wegesin, CPC, QPA, and Carol D. Gold, in 2006; G. Shapiro, JD, in 2000; Howard J. Johnson, MSPA, in 1999; Andrew J. Fair, APM, in 1998; Chester J. Salkind in 1997; John N. Erlenborn in 1996; and Edward E. Burrows, MSPA, in 1995. |
