The ASPPA 401(k) Leadership Award Nomination Form

All nominations are due by midnight, Friday, January 9, 2009.

The ASPPA 401(k) Leadership Award is designed to acknowledge a specific accomplishment and/or contribution by an individual or group of individuals within the 401(k) industry. This Award sponsored by Morningstar, recognizes leadership, innovation and significant influence within the retirement industry targeting the sales, marketing and establishment of 401(k) plans. To directly impact the ability for Americans to build a successful retirement, especially through employer plans is very powerful and an endeavor that ASPPA pursues. The Award will be presented at The ASPPA 401(k) SUMMIT in San Diego, California on Monday March 23, 2009 at a special General Session that will highlight three finalists. These finalists will provide valuable insight into their strategies and business practices, focusing on those that enabled them to stand out among their peers and be recognized.

All nominees will be contacted by ASPPA staff within 10 (ten) business days of receipt of the nomination form at the ASPPA office. All nominees will be required to substantiate in writing their desire to continue in the nomination process and to verify that their employer is aware of their candidacy. Three finalists will be selected and announced on or before January 29, 2009. Finalists will be notified by phone and email. All nominees for consideration will be notified by February 4, 2009 of their standing. Personal interviews with finalists by the Award Committee is a possibility and would occur prior to February 15, 2009. The Award presentation will take place during a special session at The ASPPA 401(k) SUMMIT 2009 on Monday, March 23, 2009.

Finalists will be recognized in various media venues, including The ASPPA Journal, Morningstar publications, SourceMedia’s On Wall Street, Financial Planning and Bank Investment Consultant through potential feature articles and individual or joint press releases. Each finalist will receive paid airfare, conference registration, three night hotel accommodations to The ASPPA 401(k) SUMMIT 2009, where they will participate in the General Session Award ceremony, sharing their best practices with the attendees.
