Calculator Announcement
Proctors have the authority to remove from the candidate's possession any calculator that does not meet these specifications. For example, HP-12C is an acceptable calculator. However, a palm pilot or similar device (PDA) could not be acceptable. In questionable situations, the candidate will be allowed to take the examination using the calculator, however the examination paper may be subject to disqualification if ASPPA determines that the calculator used does not fall within the permitted specifications. It is solely the candidate's decision to use a calculator; however, by doing so the candidate agrees to be bound by the above rules. It is the candidate's responsibility to ensure that the calculator is in good operating condition prior to the examination. Upon arrival at the examination test site, your proctor will ask you to indicate on the sign-in sheet the make and model number of the calculator you intend to use for the examination. This announcement constitutes the detailed notice describing the types of calculators permitted for the Examination Parts C-3, C-4, and A-4. |
