Press Conference Scheduled During The 401(k) SUMMIT 2006

) – Celebrating its fifth year, from February 26-28, 2006, at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, FL, the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) will host over 1,500 retirement plan professionals who market, sell, support or influence 401(k) plans at The 401(k) SUMMIT 2006—the most beneficial networking and educational conference in the retirement plan financial industry.

As part of The 401(k) SUMMIT 2006, a press conference will be held on Monday, February 27, at 10:30 a.m. by ASPPA’s Executive Director/CEO, Brian H. Graff, Esq., APM; ASPPA President, Sarah E. Simoneaux, CPC, and President-elect, Chris L. Stroud, MSPA, to discuss ASPPA’s concerns on the current pension reform legislation and potential regulatory impacts.

The 401(k) SUMMIT 2006 features general sessions and more than 24 educational workshops. Keynote speakers will include: six-time Emmy winner Ross Shafer on “Nobody Moved Your Cheese,” Dr. Shlomo Benartzi, the behavioral finance guru and pioneer of the SMarT™ program and Dr. Peter Ricchiuti, the investment luminary with indispensable secrets about the future. ASPPA will present the debut of ASPPA’s newest credential, QPFC—Qualified Plan Financial Consultant.

The 401(k) SUMMIT 2006 provides a unique interactive environment for retirement sales and investment professionals to gather practical advice and network. ASPPA’s largest and sold-out exhibit hall will allow attendees to talk with over 130 industry exhibitors about the latest technologies and services. The 401(k) SUMMIT 2006 offers 15 hours of ASPPA continuing education credit and is eligible for both NASBA and CFP continuing education credits.
