Since the Pension Protection Act of 2006 (PPA) established a statutory framework for cash balance plans, many pension plan administrators and TPA firms considering going into the cash balance business need to learn the basics. This session will provide a primer on cash balance plans that will be non-actuarial in nature and directed to plan administrators and those in sales. Join former ASPPA President, George J. Taylor, MSPA, Vice President of the ARIS Corporation of America, in a discussion of:

• CB VS Safe harbor DB and Traditional DB plans
• Passing the discrimination tests
• Combining a CB plan and a DC plan for testing
• One or more sample proposals will be demonstrated
