What's the Topic?

For over 40 years, ASPPA has been the premier educator for retirement plan professionals. This requires periodic review of courses and credentials to be certain we are serving the needs of our members along with the industry as a whole. Outside market forces also influence our direction, as they should. ASPPA is pleased to announce some new and exciting enhancements to ASPPA's educational programs that have been approved by the ASPPA Board of Directors during the October 2007 annual meeting. These changes are the result of two primary factors: introduction of the IRS' Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA) designation and our desire to refresh and revitalize the Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) program.

Join Sal L. Tripodi, APM, Brian H. Graff, Esq., APM and Robert L. Long, APM in a Q&A discussion of the enhancements and program changes anticipated including:

  • What is ERPA and why is it important to ASPPA?
  • How will ERPAs be integrated into ASPPA?
  • Will ASPPA's QPA designation requirements change?
  • Will the CPC program change?
  • When will the CPC changes take effect?
  • What if I've passed one of the CPC exams but not both?
  • Will ASPPA's QKA, QPFC, or FSPA designations change?
