
Experienced Instructors Needed for ASPPA’s Educational Courses

Experienced ASPPA Course instructors are being sought for Intensive Review Study Sessions and/or Topical Webcourses. Qualified applicants will also be considered for future educational program needs.
Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Requirements
- Current ASPPA designated member; up-to-date on all continuing education requirements.
- Minimum five (5) years technical retirement plan experience and proven record of educational practices and methodologies.
- Must demonstrate in-depth technical expertise and a thorough understanding of the practical application of relevant law and formal/informal guidance.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
- Support ASPPA’s mission, vision, and values by exhibiting the following behaviors: excellence and competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, accountability and ownership.
- 2 Letters of reference supporting proven instruction in the appropriate field of retirement plan education. (At least one should be from a student.)
- Demonstrate excellence in preparation of clear, concise and relevant educational presentations.
- Demonstrates effective teaching methods and engagement of audience participation to enhance the overall learning experience.
Performance Measures
At the conclusion of each teaching experience, an instructor will receive a summary of participant presentation evaluation surveys. The Instructor will also be evaluated for:
- Demonstration of expertise in subject area, instructor’s knowledge of the material, effectiveness of the instructor's delivery of the material and usefulness of the instructor’s handout material.
- Quality and timeliness of presentation materials
- Ability to engage participants in the presentation
- Responsiveness to E&E staff and other volunteers
