March on the Hill
Tax Reform is looming and ASPPA members need to get engaged—we’ll show you how!

If you were in this industry in 1986, you know it can happen. The last time Congress passed "tax reform," they cut the 401(k) limit by over 75 percent, among other changes that devastated the private retirement system. This led to the termination of tens of thousands of retirement plans.

We can't let that happen again.

Congress is now embarking on a new generation of tax reform, beginning with the so-called "Super Committee," which includes among it's twelve members the Chairmen of the House Ways and Means Committee and Senate Finance Committee. It's critical that Congress hear loudly and clearly that our nation's retirement system cannot be used as a piggy bank to pay for the budget deficit again. We can't afford another attack on retirement security of American workers.

During the ASPPA Annual Conference, held in the Washington, DC area this October 23-26, we will be shutting down the conference on Tuesday, October 25 from 11:15 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. so attendees can visit their members of Congress and let their voices be heard first-hand. This is the most important March on the Hill we have ever organized.

If you have not yet registered for the Annual Conference, I strongly urge you to consider coming.  You can register by clicking here.

If you have already registered, but have not yet registered for the March on the Hill, I implore you to do so.  Our industry and your profession is at stake.  You can join the March on the Hill by registering here.

Thank you.  Together we can defend the private retirement plan system.
