EA-2A Exam Writers Needed

The EA-2A exam committee needs several volunteers to help with the preparation of questions for the November 2008 examination. The preparation of questions and detailed solutions will be completed over the next several months, and will begin with a kick-off telephone conference call during the month of August.

Each member of the committee will have the responsibility to write 10-12 questions (two are true/false) and detailed solutions, on pension topics that are assigned based upon the Examination Program Booklet published by the Joint Board for the Enrollment of Actuaries. You would submit the completed questions along with detailed solutions to your assigned partner for review, and you will receive his/her questions for review. Once the initial question preparation, review and edits are complete, the entire examination committee will meet for a group review and, as needed, rewrite the questions to be submitted to the Examination Advisory Committee for the final selection of questions. It is expected that this year's review meeting will occur in mid-November. Your travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Also, earn some of the Continuing Education Units required for renewal of your enrolled actuary's certificate.
