Craig Hoffman to Provide Washington Update at ASPPA Eastern Regional Conference

Now is the time to get up-to-date on developments in Washington and their impact on retirement plans. Learn from someone in the know, Craig Hoffman, ARA’s General Counsel.

Late last year, President Trump signed into law the budget reconciliation bill popularly known as the “Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.” That legislation will have a profound impact on tax planning by individuals and businesses. This tax planning will also affect the decision as to whether to sponsor a qualified retirement plan. In addition, Congress included a number of modifications to the 401(k) rules as part of the budget agreement enacted earlier this year. Craig will outline what has changed and what it means for pension professionals and their clients.

In addition, Craig will cover the latest regulatory developments. Topics to be covered include:

  • the DOL’s latest enforcement initiative; and

  • any other late-breaking developments.

The ASPPA Eastern Regional Conference is to be held April 26-27, 2018, at the Doubletree Hotel in downtown Philadelphia. Register now to take advantage of the early registration discount. You can do so by clicking here.
