2:00 - 3:40 p.m. ET

Speaker: Joseph J. Lazzarotti, CIPP, Attorney at Law, Jackson Lewis, PC

IRS Program Number: CZTXU-E-00786-17-O

Webcast Outline: Coming Soon.

Description:
An infamous bank robber once said, “I rob banks because that’s where the money is.” Data thieves, understandably, have a similar strategy – go where the data is. If there is one thing benefit plan service providers and plan sponsors have it is lots of data. Businesses are slowly discovering the range of cyber risks facing them, including spear-phishing, ransomware, even their own employees. But many are not doing what they need to do and are woefully out of compliance. Just calling the “IT Guy” is not a good strategy. This webcast will get businesses started on a comprehensive approach to combating cyber risk and minimizing legal compliance risk.

Key Takeaways:
1. Become aware of your legal, contractual, fiduciary, and/or ethical cybersecurity obligations
2. Get started – “low-hanging fruit,” “vendor-compliance reviews,” and true compliance
3. Get ahead of data breaches – preparedness, response, agency inquiries, and litigation
4. Gain insights into negotiating cybersecurity provisions of administrative-services agreements
