Description:
Official guidance provides remarkably little guidance on the thorny issue of mergers and acquisitions. This leaves practitioners sometimes wondering what questions to ask, much less where to find the answers. This webcast will address the retirement plan consequences of mergers and acquisitions, including predecessor and related employer issues, coverage testing, HCE status, 415 issues, distribution concerns, vesting, and correction of errors.

Key Takeaways:
1. Determine when a plan can or must credit prior service
2. Evaluate HCE status following an acquisition
3. Assist a client to take maximum advantage of the coverage transition rule
