Description:
On January 29th, the IRS released proposed regulations that are expected to significantly impact the design and economics of defined contribution plans that test for non-discrimination on the basis of equivalent benefit accrual rates. These plans are often referred to as “new comparability” or “cross-tested” plans. They have become very popular with small business over the last 30 years. The new proposal, should it take effect, may change that dynamic. This one-hour complimentary webcast will briefly review the “cross-testing” rules and explain how they would change under the proposal. Also to be discussed are the reasons for the IRS proposal, what ASPPA and ACOPA’s Government Affairs Committees (ASPPA /ACOPA GAC) are doing about it, and how you can help.

Key Takeaways:
1. Find out about the IRS proposed changes.
2. Assess their detrimental impacts.
3. Help ASPPA/ACOPA GAC respond.
